Silver Springs is our high school district's full day continuation program and is housed in the main building on the Park Avenue Alternative Education Site. Our mission is to recognize the individual talents and abilities of our students, promote academic and social competency, and develop productive citizens.  In addition to an emphasis on the core curricular subjects, we offer a variety of extra curricular activities including numerous field trips to Squaw Valley, San Francisco Giants games, Oakland A's games, Alcatraz and Sacramento Kings basketball games.  Silver Springs High School is a member of the Alternative School Athletic League with schools from Auburn, Roseville and Sacramento.  Sports include co-ed flag football, basketball, volleyball and softball.  We also offer opportunities partnering with local business entities, such as dance, martial arts, yoga, poetry, drumming and cooking and nutrition.   Silver Springs High School has a very active Associated Student Body that coordinates and sponsors many school-wide activities throughout the school year.  Parental input and interaction is encouraged and welcome.
